Stakeholder Engagement Contributors

Who performs Stakeholder Engagement on your transformation programme?

More often than not, this is down to the Programme Leadership Team and Sponsors.  However, there are valuable contributors across the Programme Team who can bring their unique expertise to enrich stakeholder engagement and ensure stakeholders are engaged, on-board and programme advocates.

So who can contribute and what is their focus?

  • Change Management can provide twofold support.  First in establishing rigour and cadence in bringing together various Stakeholder Relationship Owners together in a regular drumbeat and collating the overall view or health of how stakeholder engagement is progressing throughout the programme.  Not to mention strategically aligning narrative for ongoing engagement.  Secondly, Communication specialists are best placed to help craft key messages to support stakeholder relationship owners drive the engagement.

  • Workstream Leaders & Team Members play a key role in providing compelling content in line with the agenda, whether it be a deep dive on data harmonisation or a global process design challenge.

  • PMO are involved to ensure consistent areogramme governance, delivery and associated messages in all engagement are accurate and up to date.

Effective stakeholder engagement is often achieved through proactive collaboration across the programme team, leveraging everyone’s skills and knowledge in accordance to a well structured stakeholder engagement plan.  And being a realist, let’s also acknowledge, at times, reactive stakeholder engagement actions will always be needed.
